Monica McInerney, Age 8. Calligraphy Concepts was started on October 30, 1990. What started out as a hobby for Monica McInerney at eight years old turned into a life-long dream and has become a thriving business. A post-college, unfulfilling job made the decision easy; quit the job and follow the dream of making a calligraphy business a reality. Dropping flyers in mailboxes, appearing in bridal shows, calling on businesses with the black portfolio book in hand, baby-sitting in the evenings and working just a few restaurant jobs to pay the rent all helped to make Calligraphy Concepts what it is today. For the past 12 years Calligraphy Concepts is proud to have been included in over 500 weddings and events, from small intimate affairs to the largest galas, with clients that have included Chanel, Van Cleef and Arpels, The Democratic National Convention, and Ameritech, to name a few. Our 12 years of experience and expertise ensure quality work to suit your style, taste and budget.
