PenDance specializes in fine hand lettering and computer calligraphy for weddings and other special occasions. We also hand engrave names, messages, and monograms on glass, crystal, mirror, silver plate, and sterling silver items. Maureen has been a professional calligrapher since 1991, and specializes in wedding calligraphy and hand engraving. Memberships, Houston Calligraphy Guild (member of the board of directors) Society for the Calligraphic Arts, IAMPETH (International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting), Alliance of Certified Engravers, Publications, Letter Arts Review will feature Maureens pointed pen motifs in their Summer 2005 wedding issue. Samples of her calligraphy and engraving were featured in the 2004 issue of Weddings in Houston magazine. Maureen also wrote “Etching a Path with Pillar Candles and Painted Glass” that was published in the September/October 2002 issue of Expression magazine. Corporate Clients, For the last three years Maureen has been commissioned by Houston’s My Table magazine to engrave wine bottle trophies for their Houston Top 10 Wine Lists awards. She has also engraved wine bottle trophies for Vinson & Elkins annual Partners’ Retreat. Engraving Events, During the weeks prior to Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, and Christmas, Maureen works in department stores hand-engraving names, initials, and custom messages on fragrance bottles and makeup compacts.
