Kisses To You Greetings in Stationery Business Directory

 

Raising two young boys as a single mother, Caryn Joyce felt compelled to find a way to gain her independence and support her children. Caryn chose art and when she felt the tension building, she began to draw. Before long, Joyce had a collection of diverse drawings and when she looked them over she began to think they’d make a beautiful greeting card line. Six months later, she’d turned those illustrations into a line of 15 greeting cards to exhibit at the National Stationery Show in New York City. The “Kisses to You” name comes from friends of Joyce’s who moved to Portugal a few years ago. Instead of saying “good-bye,” the couple always said “kisses to you.” When one of the pair was killed in a car accident, Joyce decided to commemorate her by naming the line after the couple’s favorite expression. Caryns “Kisses to You” greeting card line explores life through whimsical happy, and colorful shapes and figures. Many of her subjects include babies, flowers, animals, and angels. When a person buys a Caryn Joyce greeting card, they are not only buying an expression of how they feel, they are also buying into a fresh perspective. Each card is stamped with the “Kisses to You” greeting. It’s a simple expression of warmth and caring. Just holding one of these cards can evoke a sense of pleasure or a smile. “For me, drawing and designing cards and stationary is highly satisfying. It’s really nice when something you’ve sketched becomes a card that someone wants to send to a loved one across the country... feels good.” The Caryn Studios LLC line now features over 75 all occasion greeting cards.
