Photography is a universal language, a method of communication that is unhindered by creed, color or language. Although I was exposed to photography at a young age I payed little attention to the details. I am essentially self-taught, relying heavily on what my eyes see and figure out the technical stuff along the way, thankfully the digital age has made everything so much easier and accessible. If I can create an image that evokes some kind of emotion, then I will have succeeded in leaving my mark, albeit, a small one, on the world in which I live. This year I have been lucky to have had photographs exhibited in the following juried shows: With the exception of Whimsey & Pensive (parental release not given for web use) you will find these images and more for sale in the photo and greeting card galleries. I have made my home in Hawaii by default and have resided here for 16 years. Hawaii offers many unique photographic opportunities year round and I think you will find that reflected in my gallery. I currently shoot with all digital SLR Canon cameras. I prefer outside work for natural light and have tried a little outside portrait work. I enjoy an opportunity to get out with the cameras and have yet to find a defining pattern of work, though rodeos and abstracts provide the greatest delight when viewing the finished image. I may consider consignment work, such as, casual gatherings, outdoor weddings and reunions. I prefer outdoor settings and, for now, only on the Big Island of Hawaii, unless of course, you happen to be from National Geographic, then I can quit my paying day job and travel...one can only hope.
