Brian Harrison is a self trained artist. He began to draw and paint at an early age and has continued artistic endeavors in many disciplines throughout his life. Growing up in the Mid Hudson Valley, New York. Winning a trip on the Clearwater Sloop in his junior year of high school through a photography contest. In his early 20s he moved west finally settling in Phoenix, AZ for 23 years. He now spends time between the Hudson Valley, NY and the Valley of the Sun, where Phoenix, AZ is located. Currently Brians focus is on smaller works of art that are functional and whimsical and larger projects with social and political messages. Through his artistic career Brian has engaged in painting, collage, multi media works, calligraphy, embroidery, photography, textile, clothing and costume design, beading, jewelry and origami.
