Kiss Kiss Cards was created by Veronica Greenslade out of a passion for producing original and beautiful handmade cards. Whilst high street shops stock a number of cards, she became frustrated with the lack of real choice and a standard format that doesn’t give any option to personalise designs and messages. Cards were initially made for friends and family and the response was so positive that the business developed to offer exclusive designs nationally and now internationally through the Kiss Kiss Cards website. Why the name Kiss Kiss?! A card can represent many things; a gift, a recognition of friendship, a note of affection, a token of love, a mark of respect or a friendly hello. Whatever the reason for sending your card it is above all an opportunity for a personal message, put simply, people communicating. A kiss is defined as an expression of affection or greeting, and to us, Kiss Kiss encapsulates the positive message of fun and friendship, in the simple act of sending a card! Each Kiss Kiss Card is handmade by Veronica and her team of cardmakers in Brighton, England. Handmade is a term used throughout the greetings card industry, meaning different things to different people. At Kiss Kiss Cards, handmade means literally that; all our cards are made by hand. No mechanical processes, no volume sales, just individual and exclusive designs for that truly personal message. We produce styles, ranges and types for every occasion, finished and presented to the highest standard. Each design is individually created using a variety of complementary materials, colours, shapes and textures to produce beautiful and stylish cards. The raw material is high quality board which can be plain, textured, pearlised or fine embossed ridged, in a variety of colours, soft pastels to vibrant brights. Our standard card size is 10cm x 15cm (4¼” X 6”), in mainly portrait format. Variations include a large card measuring 15cm x 21cm (6” X 8¼”) and a tall card, 10cm x 21cm (4¼” X 8¼”), amongst others. A variety of decorative materials are used, including vellum and specialised papers, patterned fabrics, colourful ribbons and trimmings, ceramic, shell and other buttons, engraved pewter sheet, pressed flowers, beads and other accessories coordinated to produce creative and inspiring designs. Each card is made with a blank paper insert for your own message and the finished product is matched with a colour coordinated envelope. The card and envelope are then packaged in a clear cellophane polybag and we include a stiff piece of card to protect the product if it is being sent by post. Kiss Kiss Classic cards are handmade to original designs. There is no option to personalise our Classic range as the overall image would be compromised by adding a message on the front of the card. With a Kiss Kiss Choice, card it’s your choice to either purchase the card as it is, or personalise the front of the card by changing the message. You can then choose to have your personalised message either on hand engraved pewter sheet or handwritten card. (Our tip is to keep the message short, such as “Happy Birthday Andrew”, “Congratulations Helen” or similar). A Kiss Kiss Create card is a one-off, a unique and original design, handmade to your specification for that special occasion or person. We can create a fabulous card tailored to suit the personality, interests or hobbies of the individual receiving the card.
