Gorsky Press in Stationery Business Directory

 

Gorsky Press is a small publishing company based out of Los Angeles, California. The day-to-day operations of the press are handled by Felizon Vidad, Todd Taylor, and Sean Carswell. Vidad, Taylor, and Carswell also work daily to publish the bi-monthly, independent music magazine, Razorcake. Were not a collective, but we all share all the duties of publishing, promoting, and marketing the books. In addition, we have an extended Gorsky Press/Razorcake family that includes dozens of writers, artists, and photographers who contribute their time and creativity to the press. Our purpose is to publish books that will expose readers to new, exciting ideas. We struggle to give a voice to writers who are willing to take risks, to move their writing beyond easy classifications, to take the reader out of his normal world, and to allow the reader to re-examine contemporary, day-to-day society. In short, we are looking for and publishing writers who are lively and socially conscious and would otherwise be ignored by larger publishers.
