My name is Glenn Foden and as of the 4th April 2004 I became the 3rd owner of Hersant’s Military Books I took over from Steve and Lesley Mankelow who ran the business for nearly three years, leaving a very hard act to follow. My own background is 20 years in the army with operational experience around the world and more than 30 years of wargaming and armchair military history. In more recent years I have also been involved in The Hobby Box (www.thehobbybox.biz) which I established over three years ago. My wife, Susan and both our children, Luke and Ellie will also be helping out at shows and hope that we will be able to serve you all as well as Steve and Lesley did in the past. Our service guidelines, Our Mission is to supply the very best books available to support the exacting demands of our customers, as quickly and as courteously as possible. Our service standards which will strive to achieve are: To respond to all book enquiries within 24hrs, Where a book is in stock , to despatch within 24hrs. Where a book is out of stock, to inform the customer of delivery within 24hrs. To deduct a payment only at the moment of despatch. With Second hand books - To carry out a world-wide search in accordance with your search parameters, within 24hrs of making the search request and offer you the alternatives. Please note that all timings and turnaround times are based on a normal working week of Tuesday to Friday. All enquiries received after 5PM will pass for action the next day. Your input, Our intention is to make this website as much yours as it is ours. We will manage it and list our books on it and essentially communicate with our customers through it. But more than this, we hope that you will contribute to its development and usefulness as an information centre for all like minded military history readers and researchers.
