Spirit of Abundance in Stationery Business Directory

 

When Chris L. Self and Mary Anne Mayer Redmond first met, they realized they had similar values about empowering others. They talked about what might be possible in terms of providing clear shortcuts and support for action, relating to finances. As financial professionals, they understood what knowledge was vital for people to have. As workshop leaders, they had noticed what was missing in terms of ongoing encouragement. As women, they recognized the limitation of corporate educational pieces developed without the truly innovative creativity they knew was possible. And they understood what appealed to people in this age of information overload: simplicity! empowering support! They soon saw that a whole new paradigm was ready to be shaped. Chris and Mary Anne envisioned an appealing, uplifting approach having at its heart the Spirit of Abundance Kit. The Kit could be used anywhere by anyone interested in understanding how to care for her or his finances wisely. They knew that many women would value the new approach, which would be fun, colorful, and easy to understand. And it would be unique in its care to share how a new mindset can transform the whole process wonderfully. That mindset has the power to tap in to the affluence available to all of us. And replace fear & worry with confidence & joy. Chris and Mary Annes combined expertise, and empathy for those who they knew deserved — and would enjoy — knowing more, would help make the Kit refreshingly relevant to its users. In 1998 Chris and Mary Anne founded Abundance Resource Network, Inc., eventually to be known as iAbundance. Great care would go into the writing and production of the Kits contents, with attention to what would most effectively serve women first. A 10-month $ource Group, filled with women of diverse backgrounds, became the springboard for the design of the iAbundance products. Then, a 12-month all-female Advisory Board reviewed and contributed feedback on the Having It All Together with Financial Planning Handbook. Each component of the Kit has been brought forth with the support of our community of women. In late 1999, Chris had the idea to go up to Suzie Humphreys after Suzie had spoken to a large conference for women in Dallas. Chris and Suzie met for coffee, and Chris explained the iAbundance concept: the Kit program designed to help a person change the way she views herself in relationship to money and affluence, and, in relationship to everything! Offering ways to help you see that whatever the problem is that you think you have, the solution to it comes through your ability to shift your thinking. Suzie loved the idea! She too believed in the power of the mindset of Abundance. And she said Hey I am that woman! when she listened to them talk about those who could benefit from a new approach to financial planning. In the spirit and power of abundance, Chris, Suzie, and Mary Anne joined together, with Suzie contributing her brilliant talents as a speaker, motivator, humorist, and host. In 2001, at the Womens Museum in Dallas, the entertaining and inspiring Suzie Humphreys taped her I Can Do That! and the new Spirit of Abundance presentation in front of a live audience of over 130. The Spirit of Abundance I Can Do That! 2-Video Set became the first of the various iAbundance products available from iAbundance. iAbundance now offers the complete Spirit of Abundance (how to be Having It All Together with Finances) Kit as well as separate pieces of the Kit, and a beautiful hand-crafted pendant that celebrates the Spirit of Abundance. More great products are on the way. Today the iAbundance team includes Suzie Humphreys, dedicated creative contributors, special investors and advisors, and a broad spectrum of women & men whove been touched by the transforming iAbundance spirit. iAbundance is more than an enterprise. Its a way of being: honoring the Spirit of Abundance, the I Can Do This approach, the joy of community, simplicity, contribution, diversity, conversation, learning, and no end to the riches of life & love.
