The Posture Theory in Stationery Business Directory
About the author, The author of The Posture Theory is one of Australias longest heart disease and cancer survivors. Eight months of angina was cured by a vegetarian diet in 1998, and eventually that diet also cured eight years of high blood pressure. Nine years of cancer was eventually cured by a stem cell transplant in 2000. In the seven years since there has been no further medication or treatment for those conditions and medical tests have shown no evidence of heart disease or cancer, and blood pressure remains normal. This website includes an account of those ailments, which is additional to a summary of The Posture Theory. That theory was a conclusion drawn from a twenty five year study of many other ailments where the initial cause was mysterious because, unlike heart disease and cancer, they were not detectable by blood tests or x-rays, and the severity was not measurable. Consequently the causes were not known and hence the conditions were not treatable or curable. Because of that theory the causes and nature of those problems are no longer a mystery to the author, and the conditions are understandable, explainable, predictable, and manageable. The Posture Theory Web Site: Introduction, The Posture Theory web site is an introduction to a 1000 page book which deals with any and every aspect of posture and health, and includes a study of literature on the subject from the medical, research, and popular literature. Poor posture causes neck and back pains related to postural strain on the intervertebral discs and nerves, and the ligaments and muscles which connect and support the vertebral bones of the spine. Poor posture also places the head and shoulders forward to put downward pressure on every structure in the chest and abdomen, affecting the heart, lungs, stomach, bowels, and kidneys, and every ligament and muscle supporting them, and every nerve and tube connecting them, to cause almost any and every symptom known to human experience. However, in particular, The Posture Theory is a way of explaining a set of eight significant symptoms; namely, neck or back ache, lower left sided chest pain, palpitations of the heart, breathlessness, faintness, fatigue, upper abdominal pain, and kidney ache. This very characteristic set of symptoms can be identified as a common medical condition known as Da Costas Syndrome. That condition was named after J.M.DaCosta who, in 1871, was the first medical researcher to note that this apparently unrelated diversity of symptoms seemed to occur as a set in many individuals. The cause has not previously been identified. Therefore The Posture Theory is essentially a way of explaining the symptoms of Da Costas Syndrome which could perhaps, in relevant cases, now be referred to as The Posture Syndrome. Nevertheless because of the comprehensive nature of the study the information may be useful to a wide range of people who are interested in the nature and cause of health problems generally.
