The Book Gallery is the largest second-hand bookstore in Israel. It spans two floors, divided into three levels, and includes a separate section for antiquarians. The store specializes in second-hand and antique books in numerous subjects and languages. It contains books in Hebrew, English, German, and various other languages from Romanian to Japanese. Subjects including Judaica Books, Prose and Poetry, Zionism, Judaism, History of the Jews, Jewish art, Israeli art, Art, Philosophy, History, and many others, carefully sorted and organized on shelves. Further more, the Book Gallery has an enchanting atmosphere, with relaxing music, and sofas scattered around the three levels. The Gallery’s owners have a vision: to turn the store into a new cultural environment in Jerusalem. This is already underway, as the store has so far hosted many musical and poetry events, and plans to hold more in the near future. The web site is constantly building up and the over 27.000 books it holds currently are only a small percentage of the Antique & Rare prints of our antique department. Every day we are adding more and more books. The warm and dry mountain-desert climate of Jerusalem helps us to store the books in unchanged condition in our storages over a long period of time.
