Previously based near the British Museum in Bloomsbury and in Maddox Street, Mayfair we have just opened our new shop in South Kensington. Robert Frew has been trading in Antiquarian books since 1975 when he started his career in Camden Lock Market. From there he went on to establish Primrose Hill Books which evolved into Frew MacKenzie and then Robert Frew Ltd. Since 1997 he has headed the current organisation with the able assistance of Kate Harries and Jonathan Menezes. We have been a members of the ABA for over 20 years and Robert Frew served as President from 2005 to 2007. As well as this website and our shop you can also find us at many international book fairs as well as the monthly PBFA London fairs. About our Trade Organisations: The Antiquarian Booksellers Association - The ABA is the senior trade body for dealers in rare and fine books, manuscripts and allied materials in the British Isles and elsewhere. Founded in 1906, it is the oldest professional body of its kind in the world. The ABA is a member of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers - ILAB-LILA . ILAB speaks for twenty nations and 2000 leading booksellers throughout the world. Its emblem stands for integrity and professionalism in the rare book trade. The League publishes and upholds a code of ethics based on the wide experience of all its national associations. Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association - The PBFA is the largest association of antiquarian and secondhand booksellers in Great Britain. With over 700 members it is also the largest in the world.
