Richard Taysons second book of poems, The World Underneath is forthcoming in 2008 from Kent State University Press. His first book of poetry, The Apprentice of Fever (The Kent State University Press, 1998) won the Stan and Tom Wick Poetry Prize. Taysons co-authored book of prose, Look Up for Yes (Viking-Penguin 1998), was a bestseller in Germany and was featured on Dateline NBC. In addition to the Wick Prize, his poetry has been awarded a Pushcart Prize and Prairie Schooners Bernice Slote Award (1996)and Edward Taylor Award (2004). Tayson is currently a Chancellors Fellow at the City University of New Yorks Graduate Center.
