Boxwood Books & Prints was started in 1995 by Peter Nicholls. We are now one of the leading British specialists in rare private press books, illustrated books – especially those illustrated with wood engravings – and books about the art of wood engraving. We also offer signed, limited edition wood engravings, many of which were produced to illustrate books. While the focus is on the 20s and 30s of the last century, when British wood engraving attained prominence throughout the world and attracted many of the finest artists working in Britain, we also stock engravings by many contemporary artists.
