I have been specialising in Great Western Railway publicity since 1992 and through this site you can browse my March 2006 catalogue, access the results of my recent research on lantern lectures and even visit a gallery displaying images of attractive GWR publicity. In my catalogues you will find used books, ephemera, holiday guides, travel brochures, a postcard or two, Chad Valley jigsaw puzzles, menus, Brunel related items and much, much more covering the period from 1841 (when the line was opened throughout its length and the first steam engines ran from Bristols Temple Meads Station to Londons Paddington Station) through the 1920s and 1930s when the railways were in their heyday to 1947 when the railway companies were nationalised into British Rail. Catalogue 33 is now on my website - if you would like e-mail notification when a new catalogue is issued please let me know via the Contact Me button. Unsold stock from my previous catalogues can be found on www.ukbookworld.com. Type Great Western Railway into the Publisher box and scroll down until you find my name as a seller. Once you have one of my listings you can then browse all my stock (which includes lots of other transport related books!). I will be standing at the Chiswick Railway Collectors Fair on 6 January 2007 - see you there!
